About the role
We are currently looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to become part of our team at Ulbrich Precision Alloys located in New Bedford, MA.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance on a variety of equipment and systems including motors, controls, power supplies, AC/DC theory, power distribution, PLC's, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, power transmission, pumps, cranes, and mobile equipment.
- Follow all safety practices and rules to ensure equipment is operating in a safe manner.
- Perform preventative, predictive and emergency electrical maintenance on a variety of electrical and electronic systems.
- Implement process improvements and methods that will increase effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Use of standard and specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to properly assess and troubleshoot issues.
- Interpret electrical schematics, understanding technical manuals, and following written instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of projects including machine assembly, start up and installation.
- Participate in daily meetings, prioritizing and reviewing the daily schedule of work.
- Operate fork lift trucks, man lifts, and cranes.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED and at least three years of experience performing electrical system and machine maintenance in a manufacturing and industrial environment.
- An Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology or other electrical program.
- A current Massachusetts Journeyman's Electrical License.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
- Strong communication skill with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, highly organized and able to multi-task.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
Qualifications

Pay
Pay range is $41.38 to $41.38 per hour
Schedule
Based on the need, overtime may be available including other shifts and weekends.
