Responsibilities

• Accurately measure height, width, length, and other proportions
• Perform basic material take-offs to ensure proper material selection and quantity
• Ensure proper layout for work placement
• Maintain workspace with building materials
• Utilize appropriate tools and materials for structural components
• Ensure work is level and secure using tools like levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and lasers
• Build and/or install windows, roof systems, stairs, blocking, and ceiling grid systems
• Install millwork, casework, doors, frames, hardware, bath accessories, in-wall blocking, exterior sheathing, and insulation
• Exercise proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Set up and safely operate company equipment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in secondary or post-secondary trade curriculum
• 4+ years of field carpentry experience
• Knowledge and experience with commercial carpentry tools and materials
• Understanding of construction safety devices and PPE

Work Environment
