Journeyman Combo Pipe Welder

About the role

The Journeyman Welder at Maddox is responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems and pipe supports used to transport various liquids and gases. This role also involves the layout and installation of equipment, and performing additional duties as needed to support project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to determine welding requirements.
• Perform TIG and Stick welding with a minimum of two years of experience.
• Execute high-quality X-Ray welds on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe.
• Ensure all welding work meets safety and quality standards.

Competencies

• Two (2) years of verifiable TIG and Stick Welding experience.
• Must be able to consistently weld to B31.3 standards and pass X-Ray welds.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Able to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Must be able to work overtime when needed.
• Must have mechanical experience.
• Must have industrial experience.
• Able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and walk a project site.
