Highly skilled and experienced tradesperson in the electrical construction field. You will independently perform complex tasks, supervise and train apprentices, interpret drawings, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Execute skilled tasks such as installing, repairing, maintaining, or upgrading electrical systems, equipment, or structures according to project specifications and trade standards.
- Read and interpret drawings, technical drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements and execute tasks accurately and in compliance with design plans.
- Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment; promote and enforce safety practices among team members and apprentices.
- Independently perform assigned tasks and projects, ensuring precision, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship.
- Identify and diagnose complex issues, faults, or malfunctions in systems, equipment, or structures; apply critical thinking to determine root causes and implement effective repairs or solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards; stay updated with changes and implement them in your work.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and training to apprentices or less experienced workers; share knowledge and expertise to help them develop their skills.
- Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and machinery; keep them clean, organized, and in good working condition; report faulty or damaged equipment for repair or replacement.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including completed tasks, materials used, time spent, and any necessary documentation; prepare reports and updates as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders; communicate professionally and clearly regarding project progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in electrical or related trade.
- Journeyman certification or relevant trade license.
- Extensive experience and expertise in the electrical trade, typically acquired through several years of practical work experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and construction practices.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Ability to interpret electrical design drawings, specifications, and related documentation.
- TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) may be required.
- Ability to meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Skill Assessment.
Physical & Cognitive Requirements
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Must be on feet on hard surfaces, such as concrete, for 8+ hours per day on a regular basis.
- Able to traverse in all weather conditions and work in extreme temperatures.
- Position requires the ability to stand, squat, and reach.
- Must be able to stand and walk continuously through shift.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to exercise precaution in the handling of tools and equipment.
- May be exposed to dust, fumes, and odoriferous working conditions.
- Crouch, kneel, bend, or stand for long periods of time.
- Work outside during inclement weather.
- Be subject to motor or machine noise.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.

Pay is commensurate with experience and paid weekly.
