Responsibilities

• Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, rebuilds, constructs, and maintains woodwork and other related structures.
• Directs and leads the work of others.
• Reads plans and specifications.
• Works with project plans, construction industry standards, and building codes.

Requirements

• Familiar with carpentry concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Knowledge of tools, materials, and supplies required for carpentry tasks.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
• Requires standard communication skills (written, verbal, reading).
• Proficient with hand-held tools and power tools.
• Able to lift and move up to 100 pounds.
• Solves advanced math problems for carpentry-related problem-solving.
• Able to traverse ladders (including extension ladders), scaffolding, and roofs.

Qualifications

• Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
• Ability to present information effectively to management, public groups, or boards.
• Applies mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Solves practical problems with limited standardization.
