About the role
Responsible for making complex repairs on coaches, rebuilding components, and training other employees in new skills.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Completion of a bona fide apprenticeship program as a Transit Light Rail Repairer (Mechanics currently classified as Transit Light Rail Journeyists or Journeyist Electromechanic are eligible).
- Successfully pass standardized tests administered by the Authority.
- Successfully pass a mechanical and electrical aptitude test administered by the Authority.
- Must have own tools.
- Able to pass DOT physical.
- Must have and maintain a valid Utah driver’s Class ‘D’ license.
- Must be a safe driver with no more than four (4) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
- Cannot have more than one violation of driving under the influence of alcohol, any drug, or the combined influence of alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years.
- Must be or be able to become Forklift Certified.
- Must be or be able to become roadway worker protection certified.
- This job requires regular and predictable attendance.
An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. UTA reserves the right to determine the equivalencies of education and experience.

Pay
$36.82 per hour
Schedule
9:00 PM – 7:30 AM with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday off.
