Qualifications
- Master's in journalism or communication with a specialization in journalism; OR
- Bachelor's in either of the above;
- Master's in English, history, communication, literature, composition, comparative literature, any social science, business, business administration, marketing, graphics or photography;
- A valid lifetime credential that authorizes service as a journalism instructor in a California Community College;
- The equivalent;
- Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment.
Pay
Part-time faculty compensation is commensurate with education and District teaching experience according to the lecture, lab, or non-instructional rate schedules.
Schedule
In-person instruction, which could occur on campus or as a part of the Rising Scholars Program at the California Institution for Men in Chino.
