Nontenure Line Faculty Pool - Journalism and Mass Communication
About the Role
The School of Journalism and Mass Communication seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty positions at the rank of lecturer. Appointments are for full or part-time teaching roles, with assignments based on student demand and department need each semester.
Successful candidates will teach one to four courses per semester in their area of expertise, with eligibility for annual reappointment contingent upon satisfactory performance evaluations, funding availability, and departmental need.
Teaching may occur at the San Marcos or Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on the academic unit’s requirements.

- Journalism
- Public Relations
- Mass Communication
A Master’s in Arts in Mass Communication is also available.
