About the role

Jouni Ojala is a senior consultant and human-centered design (HCD) strategist in Finland. He works on solutions for the public sector using a strategic design mindset to help clients benefit from optimal user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Consults on product design for Finland’s government
• Led the design strategy and development team
• Developed a strong internal process and design thinking mindset
• Pushed the envelope on taking design to a more strategic level within the team
• Collaborates with others to consult and conduct research with a design mindset
• Teaches design thinking to others by demonstrating the benefits of co-designing and building design systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Tampere
• Experience as a UX designer
• Strong background in product design for the government
• Leadership skills and change management capabilities
• Ability to work collaboratively and facilitate design thinking
