Joist and Deck Detailer

Duties

• Preparation of joist and deck framing plans, deck layout plans, and associated sections.
• Fabricator listings for joist, deck, bridging, and accessories.

Requirements

• Excellent math, visualization, & problem solving skills.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Good computer skills, working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Completed the first year of a qualified engineering program or prior experience in the detailing or design of structural joist and deck.

Helpful Skills

• Good organization & communication skills.
• Self-driven.
• Any knowledge of the structural steel design, fabrication, and erection industry.
