Joint Targeting Automation Analyst, Senior

About the role

The volume, speed, and complexity of today’s intelligence environment require analysts who can do more than interpret information. Mission partners need professionals who understand the Joint Targeting Cycle and can improve how targeting intelligence is collected, integrated, analyzed, and delivered to decision-makers. As a Joint Targeting Intelligence Automation Analyst, you will combine targeting expertise, intelligence tradecraft, data integration, and workflow automation to improve mission processes across the Joint Targeting Enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Work with Joint Staff, Intelligence Community, and Department of War stakeholders to assess existing workflows, identify capability gaps, and develop solutions that reduce manual effort while preserving analytical rigor, security, and human oversight.
• Analyze how data moves across targeting systems, intelligence tools, and operational processes.
• Develop queries, integrate information from disparate sources, automate repeatable analytical tasks, and support data pipelines, system interfaces, dashboards, and decision-support workflows.
• Support prototyping, testing, user evaluation, integration, deployment, training, and continuous improvement while ensuring solutions align with security, data governance, enterprise architecture, and intelligence oversight requirements.
• Provide accurate recommendations in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.
• Evaluate artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, data visualization, workflow orchestration, and low-code or no-code technologies for mission applicability.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, technical exchanges, user engagement sessions, or cross-functional working groups.
• Translate targeting needs into capabilities that technical teams can design and implement.
• Collaborate with analysts, planners, engineers, developers, architects, and senior government stakeholders.
• Support senior leaders, facilitate working groups, provide time-sensitive recommendations, and communicate complex operational and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Help establish repeatable modernization practices and measure results through improved processing time, data accessibility, workflow reliability, interoperability, and analyst effectiveness.

Requirements

• Experience supporting one or more phases of the Joint Targeting Cycle.
• Experience analyzing operational workflows and identifying process, data, or capability gaps.
• Experience translating operational requirements into technical requirements, user stories, process maps, or use cases.
• Experience integrating, correlating, validating, or analyzing information from multiple intelligence, operational, or enterprise data sources.
• Knowledge of intelligence tradecraft, source evaluation, data validation, and analytical quality standards.
• Ability to collaborate with analysts, planners, engineers, developers, architects, and senior government stakeholders.
• Ability to produce clear written products, briefings, demonstrations, and decision-support materials.
• Ability to provide accurate recommendations in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in joint targeting, intelligence analysis, intelligence operations, workflow automation, systems integration, or data analytics, or a combination of these or 12+ years of experience in joint targeting, intelligence analysis, intelligence operations, workflow automation, systems integration, or data analytics, or a combination of these in lieu of a degree.

Skills

• Experience with workflow automation, process automation, business process management, or orchestration platforms.
• Experience developing or supporting data pipelines, data models, data services, dashboards, or decision-support tools.
• Experience developing performance metrics, measures of effectiveness, value assessments, or modernization roadmaps.
• Experience with requirements management, version control, automated testing, configuration management, or technical documentation.
• Knowledge of data interoperability, metadata management, data standards, ontologies, semantic technologies, or enterprise data architecture.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, data governance, cybersecurity, model risk, human-in-the-loop decision-making, and intelligence oversight.
• Graduate of the Joint Targeting School or another joint targeting intelligence course.
• Master's degree in Intelligence Studies, Data Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, International Affairs, Political Science, National Security, or a related field.

Pay

$77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
