JOINT SEALING TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities

• Fills, fires, and operates asphalt kettles.
• Spreads salt, sand, gravel, and asphalt.
• Fills pavement cracks and joints.
• Walks at a fast pace throughout the day on hard surfaces.
• Communicates continuously with other employees to ensure safety of all within work zones.
• Maintains cleanliness of construction equipment and supplies.
• Loads and unloads traffic control and other construction equipment.
• Completes timesheets in a timely manner, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Good communications skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with internal and external stakeholders and customers.
• A current driver's license in good standing (Class A or B preferred).
• The ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects using organizational and communication skills.
• A strong sense of responsibility for timely and accurate completion of work, and a strong commitment to company goals.
• Capability to function under fast-paced, stressful working conditions within live traffic.
• One year of experience preferred, but training for the right individual is available.
