Audits
- Audit structural and A surface welds 2x per day, every weld line.
- Correct and coach as needed, welders and leads.
- Document any non-conforming welds into a daily audit report to be submitted to the Quality, Production and Plant managers.
- Communicate with QC inspectors to solve any weld issues coming through finish.
Welding Equipment
- Verify welder settings per standard.
- Check gas mixes are to standard.
- Troubleshoot welding equipment issues.
- Knowledge of welder power supply.
- Check consumables are installed correctly.
- Verify there are no bare grounds or damaged leads and guns.
Other
- Review and verify prints/weld maps.
- Weld integrity testing.
- Audit Weld PPE.
- Audit Proper Body and Hand Placement.
Qualifications
- AWS Certified preferred.
- Minimum 5 years welding experience.
- 2-3 years of Supervisor and training experience.
