About the Role

Florida Orthopaedic Associates is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction / Total Joint Replacement to join our well-established and growing orthopaedic practice in Central Florida. This is a unique opportunity to step into an established, high-volume joint replacement practice as a long-tenured surgeon transitions toward retirement. The incoming physician will inherit a strong referral base and serve a well-developed patient population in the Lake Mary and Orange City markets.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions in an outpatient and/or surgical setting depending on subspecialty.
  • Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, referring providers, and the care team.
  • Collaborate with advanced practice providers (PAs/NPs) and clinical staff to enhance workflow, clinic efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance with FOA policies, clinical protocols, and relevant healthcare regulations (CMS, HIPAA, OSHA).
  • Attend department meetings, educational conferences, and quality improvement initiatives as required.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care (if applicable to specialty) and participate in surgical procedures as credentialed.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited orthopaedic residency and fellowship (if applicable).
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in specialty.
  • Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain one prior to employment.
  • DEA license in good standing.
  • Commitment to high standards of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.

  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Desire to work within a physician-led, multidisciplinary team structure.
