About Us

Established in 1986, No One Alone (NOA) began as a 24/7 crisis line for victims of domestic violence. In 1992, the organization opened an emergency shelter and has since expanded to serve Dawson and Lumpkin Counties—the only program of its kind in the region. NOA provides comprehensive services including trauma counseling, legal advocacy, financial assistance, children’s groups, and life skills classes.

In 2025, NOA served 2,781 clients, responded to over 2,500 crisis calls, and sheltered 99 individuals in its shelter and local motels.
