Positions We're Always Looking to Fill

  • Teaching Positions: Classroom teachers across grade levels and subject areas including special education and licensed intervention specialists.
  • Non-Teaching Positions & Support Staff: Instructional coaches, other student-support professionals, paraprofessionals, teacher aides, front office staff, facilities and maintenance staff.
  • Administrative Positions: School leaders, assistant principals, operations managers, and office administrative staff.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities vary by role, but Oakmont team members generally:

  • Plan and deliver excellent instruction or support services aligned to our mission and to state and organizational standards.
  • Create a supportive, orderly environment in the classroom, office, or building where every student can thrive.
  • Use data and feedback to guide decisions and drive high standards of performance.
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues, and collaborate across teams to improve student outcomes.
  • Bring real-world relevance and professionalism to daily work, adapting to meet student and school needs.
  • Keep accurate, confidential records as appropriate to the role, including student, personnel, or operational records.
  • Take part in the school community, attending meetings and contributing to school-wide decisions on policies, programs, and practices.

What You'll Need

Requirements vary depending on the position:

  • Teaching roles: Valid Active Teacher License issued by the State in the appropriate subject area (a substitute license does not meet this requirement), and a Bachelor's degree in Education or the relevant subject area.
  • Non-teaching, support staff, and administrative roles: Relevant degree, certification, and/or experience for the specific position.
  • A passion for improving educational opportunities for urban students.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort using technology appropriate to the role.
  • Bonus: experience with coding or computer science.
