Johnsburg Junior High School is seeking a Head Boys Basketball Coach.
Qualifications
- ISBE certified or ASEP certified
- Previous coaching and playing experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Maintaining levels of competition
- Monitoring all athletes' academic progress
- Following and enforcing established eligibility requirements of District 12
- Running individual practices to provide individual and team development
- Following and enforcing team rules and goals that are shared with players and parents
- Following and enforcing established procedures in the event of an injury to an athlete
- Ensuring all athletes are supervised at all times when involved with team activities
- Acting as a positive role model and maintaining proper sportsmanship on the team at all times
- Maintaining an inventory of all equipment
- Attending professional development clinics/conferences specific to boys basketball
Pay
Based on experience assigned on the Athletic Extra Duty Stipend Schedule.
