Job Responsibilities
- Solid background in building/civil construction science, business, and management, as well as related work experience within the construction industry.
- Ability to understand contracts, plans, and specifications.
- Knowledgeable about construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, scheduling, and estimating is increasingly important.
- Supervision of on-site personnel and sub-contractors.
- Experience as a construction craft worker.
Job Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Science Management or similar discipline, or substantial related work experience in commercial building or civil construction.
- Relevant and proven work related experience related to the craft.
- Demonstrated ability to lead personnel and sub-contractors to successful and profitable completion of the project.
- Knowledgeable in construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Familiar with computers and software related to the industry.
- Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Able to communicate in an effective manner in an oral or written manner.
