About the role

The Support Service Specialist (SSS) position is a GS-0342-5/6/7 permanent full-time role at the Rochester Ranger District of the Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forests. This position manages administrative and visitor services.

Responsibilities

• Ensures smooth office and visitor services operations
• Ensures effective interactions between all program areas and the public
• Supports a diverse range of programs including recreation, trails, wilderness, watershed, fisheries, wildlife, fire, botany, timber and silviculture

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-4 in the Federal service
• Experience in administrative support and customer service
