About the role
The NSERC Canadian Healthy Oceans Network (CHONe) has concluded its second phase in September 2021. The network, funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), INREST, and Memorial University, has trained over 100 students and produced more than 100 scientific papers.
Responsibilities
- Created Science Briefs to provide short, plain language summaries of scientific tools and methodologies addressing key scientific questions for sustainable oceans.
- Collaborated with major funding partners to provide scientific knowledge for sustainable oceans and biodiversity conservation.
- Trained over 100 students in ocean science.
- Produced over 100 scientific papers.
Qualifications
- PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows in various fields including biology, ecology, and environmental science.
- Students and researchers from universities such as Simon Fraser University, Dalhousie University, Memorial University, and others.
