Job Opportunity: GIS Supervisor

About the role

The GIS Supervisor position within the Public Works Department of the City of Grants Pass is responsible for leading and managing the city's Geographic Information System (GIS) program.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of GIS Technicians
• Administering the city-wide GIS program, including structure and design
• Managing budgets, making recommendations, approving expenditures, and preparing reports
• Coinciding work projects and soliciting bids from vendors

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 4 years of related experience, including one year of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensing Requirements: GISCI GIS Professional Certification (GISP) preferred, valid driver’s license, Oregon Class C with an acceptable driving record.
