Job Developer, Rising Up Men's Shelter

About the role

CAMBA is a community organization providing a wide range of services to over 72,000 individuals and families annually through more than 180 integrated programs. The Rising Up Men’s Shelter in Williamsburg offers 141 beds for homeless men, focusing on employment stabilization and housing transition.

Responsibilities

• Research and initiate contact with potential employers daily, gathering detailed information about positions.
• Stay updated on labor market information, economic data, and hiring trends to identify emerging opportunities.
• Support clients in developing tailored resumes and cover letters, coaching for essential soft skills, conducting mock interviews, and assisting with job applications.
• Provide one-on-one and group job preparation sessions to enhance clients' employability.
• Document client progress and employer interactions accurately and comprehensively, including maintaining records in computerized systems.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED, with two years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

$46,350 - $49,440 annually
