About the Role
The Job Developer will serve in this capacity for the Learn and Earn Program, focusing on work readiness training, participant and worksite coordination, and program monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Lead work readiness training component.
- Coordinate participant and worksite orientation and placement.
- Ensure all worksite folders are complete, updated, and maintained per DYCD requirements (e.g., pre-assessment reports, licenses, trip schedules, applications, assurances).
- Review participant timesheets for accuracy; maintain records in accordance with DYCD policy.
- Log participant timesheets in rosters and enter data into the DYCD online database by deadlines.
- Prepare and submit back-pay requests to the Program Director for approval.
- Inform Program Director of participant/worksite updates to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Assist with participant debit card distribution.
- Enter program data into the DYCD online database daily.
- Support the Case Manager with college and career counseling.
- Assist with additional program activities as needed.
- Develop meaningful internships/work sites aligned with participants’ career interests.
- Review worksite agreements and attachments for completeness before work experiences begin.
- Conduct pre-assessments for worksites prior to participant placement.
- Complete bi-weekly worksite assessment reports and enter them into the DYCD database.
- Ensure worksites have required documents (e.g., referral forms, monitoring logs, timesheets).
- Support worksite supervisors to ensure smooth program functioning.
- Obtain weekly timesheets from worksites and maintain ongoing communication.
- Report concerns/violations to the Program Director and conduct follow-ups on participant issues.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience connecting youth to workplace experiences, employment engagement, or college counseling.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Ability to organize and maintain detailed records, complete paperwork, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or HSE required; college experience preferred.
