Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and secure entry-level job openings, extern-to-hire opportunities, and self-employment pathways for trade program graduates.
- Conduct daily outreach, including cold calls, employer site visits, and virtual meetings, to build and maintain a robust employer network.
- Foster relationships with local and national employers to expand job placement opportunities.
Program Development
- Create and manage a database of employers, job openings, and externship opportunities.
- Collaborate with graduates to prepare them for job placements, including providing advice on applications and interviews.
- Communicate with campus Career Services Specialists, Associate Directors of Career Services, and Directors of Career Services in regards to job leads, employer connections, and graduate outcomes.
Networking and Collaboration
- Represent the organization at networking events, job fairs, and industry conferences.
- Partner with community organizations, workforce boards, and other stakeholders to broaden the employment pipeline.
Reporting and Metrics
- Track and report on job placements, employer engagement activities, and outcomes.
- Use feedback from employers and graduates to continuously improve job development strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or a related field (experience in workforce development is a plus).
- Focus on phone skills, cold-calling, and negotiation with employers to promote entry-level graduates for hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets in a high-volume outreach environment.
- Knowledge of trade industries and labor market trends is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with a team.

Essential Experience, Education and Skillset
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some college or trade school preferred.
- Must be able to work independently and exercise discretion and good judgment.
