Job Developer

Position Summary

The Job Developer is responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with employers to create unsubsidized employment opportunities for clients.

What You'll Do

• Cold call a minimum of 25 businesses daily to identify those currently hiring, and make follow-up calls to secure at least 14 unsubsidized placements, including part-time and/or full-time employment of at least 20 weekly hours.
• Conduct at least 2-3 field visits bi-weekly to businesses to establish and enhance partnerships for job opportunities.
• Possess a comprehensive job bank and/or leverage relationships to meet participant needs.
• Understand the skills of VRS participants to identify employment barriers and present them effectively to employers.
• Produce weekly reports on cold calls and field visits, and conduct daily follow-up with employers.
• Create recruitment strategies, organize job fairs, conduct on-site employer visits, and manage cyber info sessions.
• Enter case notes into SEAMS, HRA's record management system, and FedcapCARES for VRS participant services.
• Announce job leads weekly in workshops and collaborate with Work Readiness Facilitators on follow-ups with consumer-referred interviews.
• Aid the retention unit to ensure employment data is accurate and verified.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of job development and/or placement experience in either the public or private sector.
• Sales experience with marketing and/or public relations experience preferred.
• Experience developing jobs for individuals with disabilities requiring special accommodations.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: $25.49-$26.45 per hour/$53k-55k annually
