Shift: Rotating (day/evening combination) with shift differential for hours between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am
About the Role
The Job Coach assists individuals with cognitive/intellectual disabilities or related conditions in obtaining employment, teaching job skills, and providing ongoing coaching. They also support individuals in the community and at the program site to develop skills through volunteer work and community activities. This position acts as a liaison between local businesses and program participants, ensuring compliance with Department of Labor, MN State licensing, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards.
Responsibilities
- Teach and coach program participants in job and independent living skills, providing ongoing job support.
- Act as a liaison between businesses to create program and community-based opportunities for participants.
- Document participants’ activities, progress, and care by recording, summarizing, and maintaining data in standard forms and reports.
- Participate in daily site operations to meet licensure, legal, and accreditation requirements, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Transport and accompany individuals to community employment, outings, and recreational activities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Current and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic arithmetic, and interpret charts and graphs.
- Clear communication and basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Experience implementing training/employment programs for individuals with cognitive/intellectual disabilities, mental illness, chemical dependency, physical disability, brain injury, or displaced workers.
Pay
$22.62 - $28.94 per hour
