Job Coach (Part-Time)

About the role

The Job Coach at Community Options, Inc. provides supervision and training to individuals with developmental disabilities to acquire job skills and work routines.

Responsibilities

• Teach individuals independent job skills using job task analysis and job-specific supports, including assistive technology and personal assistance.
• Work side-by-side with individuals at the job site, analyzing job requirements and breaking them into manageable components.
• Build a support network between the individual and community members.
• Communicate individual’s progress to the employer and support people, including family, residential staff, and other professionals.
• Accurately complete all documentation.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ full-time work experience in employment or related field.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to analyze a job and break it into manageable components.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in a crisis situation.
• Ability to present ideas and factual data in a clear, concise manner.
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals.
• Read and write English.
