Job Coach/ Employment Specialist - Morganton

About the role

The role of Job Coach/ Employment Specialist at our Morganton location is to assist individuals in finding and maintaining employment. This includes providing guidance on job search strategies, resume building, interview preparation, and job placement services.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in identifying their career goals and developing action plans to achieve them.
• Provide individualized support to help clients prepare for interviews and job applications.
• Facilitate job placement services including resume writing workshops and mock interviews.
• Conduct outreach to potential employers to promote job opportunities to clients.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and provide regular updates to clients and supervisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with individuals seeking employment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Experience with job placement software and databases.
• Knowledge of local labor market trends and employment opportunities.
