Under the supervision of the Director of Employment Services, the Job Coach provides on-site supports for individuals with disabilities in community-based jobs. Working closely with an Employment Specialist, the Job Coach facilitates positive employment outcomes while aligning with Trinity Services’ mission, values, and operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Promote a work environment that respects those served with dignity.
- Provide on-site job coaching to individuals with community employment.
- Collaborate with Employment Specialists to support clients on their caseload.
- Work with individuals at the day program to enhance workplace skills through career curriculum, including budgeting and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with employers to modify job tasks and advocate for necessary accommodations.
- Write progress notes and summary reports for clients, submitting them to Employment Specialists/Director in a timely manner.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and upholds Trinity Services’ mission and values.
- Assist with tasks and responsibilities of individuals supported, as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as instructed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
- Computer skills including Word, Excel, Email, and Internet.
- Valid driver’s license (mileage reimbursement offered).
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification (training provided).

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants, coworkers, employers, and supervisors.
- Openness to new experiences and techniques to support individuals’ success at work.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow written/oral instructions.
Physical Demands
- Travel between counties/towns (mileage reimbursed).
- Lift over 40 pounds from floor to waist unassisted.
- Push and pull up to 75 pounds.
- Perform deep knee squats.
- Push wheelchairs up to 200 pounds.
- Remain stationary (standing or sitting) for prolonged periods.
- Operate motor vehicles.
- Regularly stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands/fingers for computer/telephone tasks.
- Physical activities may include driving, balancing, pulling, pushing, standing, climbing, grasping, stooping, crouching, crawling, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and repetitive motion.

Pay
$20.80 per hour
Schedule
Full-time, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Location: Wilmington, IL
Reports To: Director of Employment Services
