About the Role
At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower, and promote independence for at-risk children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities through quality, community-based services. We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Job Coach to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving success in community-based employment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized vocational support, including on-site job coaching, emotional and social counseling, and skill-building.
- Motivate and encourage individuals to reach their employment goals while promoting positive behaviors and peer interaction.
- Provide transportation to job sites using agency vehicles or personal transportation when needed.
- Support individuals at their job sites by modeling tasks, monitoring progress, and maintaining accurate records such as timesheets and assessments.
- Teach essential vocational and soft skills such as resume writing, interviewing, travel training, and workplace safety.
- Collaborate with employers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Partner with Job Developers and Senior Job Coaches during job placement and training phases.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including case notes, action plans, and mileage logs.
- Represent the agency professionally in all community and business interactions.
- Stay current with all required trainings and certifications.
- Work closely with the SEMP Team to ensure coordinated service delivery.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities in a vocational setting preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.
- A commitment to teamwork and the agency's mission.
- Flexible work hours based on individual and employer needs.
- Ability to lift, bend, and carry items of varying weights to support individuals in diverse work environments.
