About the role

Since 1952, Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona, Phoenix and beyond. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Beacon serves over 2,000 people with disabilities each year. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist nearly two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job.

Responsibilities

  • Provide top of the line services for the individuals on the team while providing quality service to the customers we provide a variety of services for.
  • Daily duties include working with, training, and supervising a fantastic team of adults with disabilities.
  • The services provided are dependent on the location and site needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months of experience working with adults with disabilities.
  • Increased technical skills related to field of work.
  • Successfully pass the drug test and background check.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or able to obtain and maintain a CPR/First Aid/AED Certification.
  • Fingerprint clearance card, or able to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card.
  • Provide proof of good driving.
  • Have a valid Arizona Driver's License and pass the Beacon driving test.
  • Article IX, and Prevention and Support certificate or able to obtain and maintain certification.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a GSA clearance.
  • Able to balance, bend, stand, walk, kneel, twist, stretch, climb, and sit.
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to write accurate, clear, and informative case notes.
  • Able to tolerate environmental conditions, such as hot, cold, wetness, dust, noise, etc.
  • Able to work, drive and travel independently to various sites.
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Able to follow instructions.
  • Able to work effectively with staff, clients, and the public.
  • Able to be flexible and work in a team environment.
  • Able to use good judgment.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Able to learn and use equipment.
  • Able to use power tools, equipment, and machinery.

Tuesday and Thursday 10am-3pm

Pay

$20.80 per hour
