Description Summary/Objective

Operates and tends to the machine that dyes fabric.

Essential Functions

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Ability to interpret Dye schedules, Dye packets, and set-up sheets.
• Ability to navigate through various computer systems such as JOMAR and Adaptive Control System.
• Must be able to sew seams with industrial sewing machine.
• Must have good color and shade perception.
• Ability to push and pull heavy loads of fabric in a hot, wet environment.

Technical Skills

• Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

• This job operates in a manufacturing environment.
• The candidate is frequently exposed to noise, dust and various chemicals, and moving mechanical parts requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and non-skid shoes.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, sit, walk, stand, and hear.
• This employee may be required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, and frequently lift up to 50 Ibs.
• The employee must have 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position.
• Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 3pm to 1am.
• Weekends and overtime may be required as job duties demand.
• Travel: Little to no travel is expected for this position.

Required Education And Experience

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to operate a tugger or forklift.
• Certification to operate these units will be required.
