JD Edwards (JDE) ERP Developer

About the role

Mueller Water Products, Inc. builds the future of water infrastructure through products and solutions that help cities and utilities deliver clean, safe drinking water across North America. As an JD Edwards ERP Developer, you will design, develop, and implement solutions within the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP system, collaborating with cross-functional teams to customize and integrate the platform while ensuring efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement JD Edwards solutions to meet business requirements
• Customize and extend JDE functionality using tools such as FDA, RDA, Orchestrator, UBEs, AIS, and BSSV
• Integrate JD Edwards with other enterprise systems to ensure seamless data flow and real-time communication
• Analyze and improve the performance of JD Edwards systems, optimizing reports, processes, and workflows
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot ongoing issues, and implement long-term solutions
• Participate in testing and validation of customizations and integrations to minimize business disruption
• Create and maintain technical documentation for customizations, integrations, and deployment processes

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of JD Edwards, including recent experience with E1 9.2 and modules such as Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Distribution
• Proficiency in JD Edwards development tools such as FDA, RDA, Business Functions, and BSSV
• Experience with C++, Java, or other programming languages (bonus)
• Experience with JD Edwards integration technologies including JDE E1 Orchestrator, BSSV, FTP, and Web Services
• Solid understanding of JD Edwards database architecture and proficiency in SQL; experience with Oracle
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a methodical approach to issue resolution
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business leaders

Preferred Qualifications

• JD Edwards certifications such as JDE E1 Development or EnterpriseOne certifications
• Familiarity with cloud-based JD Edwards, including AWS Cloud or hybrid environments
• Proficiency in DSI MEP (Mobile Enterprise Platform) and experience integrating mobile applications with JD Edwards for real-time field data, inventory management, or asset tracking

• Mix of project-based work, system maintenance, and support for ongoing ERP operations

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
• 4+ years of experience with JD Edwards ERP development
