JBW IT Project Manager

About the role

The IT Project Manager - Software is responsible for managing the software portion of airport baggage handling projects. This role involves partnering with the Contracts Project Manager, engineering staff, and customers to ensure successful project delivery within defined budgets. Key responsibilities include creating and executing project plans, managing multiple projects concurrently, and providing technical support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-level contact with clients, software engineers, and Daifuku Contract Project Management.
• Translate high-level meeting results into prioritized action items for the team.
• Create gap analyses between client specifications and current Webb products.
• Generate appropriate project specifications and ensure they are approved by the client.
• Collaborate with other Project Engineers on project resourcing, reporting, and administrative activities.
• Execute 2-4 concurrent projects, managing project management as the primary responsibility.
• Lead technical projects in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.

Requirements

• BS-CS/CE/EE or IT professional required.
• Experience managing projects and related resources.
• Scheduling and estimating experience.
• Expert knowledge of MS Office, Visio, and MS Project.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience within the material handling industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects in a dynamic environment.
• At least 8 years of IT or Software project management experience.
• 4+ years of team leadership.

Qualifications

• Expertise in C/C++, C#, .NET development, Windows, and SQL Server administration.
• Physical abilities: remain stationary for 50% of the time, move/traverse throughout the office, operate a computer, inspect documents, communicate verbally and through writing, read/identify/assess forms and correspondence.
