JavaScript / Typescript Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Irving, TX (open to Chandler (AZ), Columbus (OH), Charlotte (NC), and Minneapolis (MN)) – 12+ month Contract-to-Hire

Rate: W2 only (target $55-60/hr W2)

About the role

Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to support development of enterprise security solutions focused on protecting sensitive data and mitigating cybersecurity risks.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cybersecurity-focused applications
• Build scalable web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Develop APIs and data integrations
• Implement secure coding standards and partner with cybersecurity teams
• Deploy and support applications on Kubernetes
• Contribute to engineering best practices and technical standards
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and security teams

Requirements

• 3+ years of Software Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Next.js, and Node.js
• Experience developing APIs using GraphQL
• MongoDB and SQL (MSSQL preferred)
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins
• Kubernetes experience
• Experience with configuration-as-code (YAML/TOML)
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security
• Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Cybersecurity application development experience
• Black Duck, Checkmarx, Artifactory, or Nexus
• Python and basic Java knowledge
• Experience with large-scale enterprise applications
• Networking, system administration, or infrastructure knowledge
• Exposure to Go, Rust, C, or C++
• Experience with Harness or Kendo React
