Java Tech Lead

About the role

8+ years of software development experience. 2+ years in a Technical Lead role. Experience leading distributed teams and enterprise-scale projects. BFSI domain experience is highly desirable for banking and financial services engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end application design and development using Java Full Stack technologies.
• Define technical architecture, coding standards, and development best practices.
• Review application design, source code, and deployment strategies.
• Drive technical decisions ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.

Full Stack Development

• Backend services using:
  • Java 11+/17
  • Spring Boot
  • Microservices
  • REST APIs
  • Kafka/Messaging systems
• Frontend applications using:
  • Angular / React
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • HTML5, CSS3
• Design and optimize database solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases.

Architecture & Solution Design

• Design scalable cloud-native and microservices-based solutions.
• Define API standards, integration patterns, and security frameworks.
• Participate in technical estimations and solution proposals.
• Conduct proof of concepts (POCs) for new technologies.

Project & Delivery Management

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders.
• Break down requirements into technical user stories and tasks.
• Track sprint progress and resolve technical blockers.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

Quality & Governance

• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Drive unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
• Ensure application security and compliance requirements are met.
• Monitor production issues and lead root cause analysis activities.

• Advanced Java, Spring Boot, React, Kafka, Oracle, DevSecOps, Test Automation
• Backend: Java 11+/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC
• Frontend: Angular / TypeScript / JavaScript
• Database: Oracle / SQL Server / MongoDB
• DevOps/Cloud: Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS / Azure / GCP

Pay

$80,000 to $125,000 per year
