Java Tech Lead

Location: Jacksonville, FL | Work Arrangement: Onsite only | Duration: 6 months

About the Role

We are seeking a Java Tech Lead with 12+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise-scale applications. This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on expertise in cloud-native architecture, API development, DevOps, and distributed systems, with domain experience in healthcare, banking, payments, financial services, or telecom.

Responsibilities

• Lead modern Java Full Stack development initiatives.
• Drive cloud-native microservices architecture and technical design.
• Manage and guide Agile development teams.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor developers.
• Provide technical guidance and drive architecture/design decisions.
• Support enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the application stack.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Implement AI-enabled solutions using LLMs, RAG, and Generative AI technologies.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience (12+ years preferred) in enterprise-scale application development.
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and AWS Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with ACH, Wire Transfers, SWIFT, RTP, Merchant Payments, and high-volume transaction processing platforms.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, DynamoDB, Oracle, and Kafka.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies (RAG, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, GitHub Copilot).
• In-person interview at the customer location required.
