Java Tech Lead

Guiding Development

Duties:

• Guiding development team in an agile development environment.
• Mentoring staff; validating deliverables; managing code repositories and releases including documentation artifacts.

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements:

• Experience (15+ Years): Oversees and coordinates the people, resources and processes required to deliver new software or to upgrade existing products. May take a hands-on role in software development.
• Onsite: 100%
• Leading Teams: 84 months leading teams of 5-10 staff to deliver solutions using agile methodologies and leading development sprints and mentoring and coaching developers and fostering a culture of code quality, including conducting effective code reviews.
• Java, Spring, Spring Security, and JPA/Hibernate: 84 months experience writing high-performance, maintainable, and secure code, including language internals, performance characteristics, and best practices.
• SDLC and Tools: 84 months experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and testing frameworks.
• Architectural Decisions and Documentation: 84 months experience translating architectural decisions and architectural and business requirement documentation into code using design patterns where appropriate.
• Technical Debt and Refactoring: 84 months of experience proactively identifying and addressing technical debt within the codebase, leading refactoring efforts to improve code quality and maintainability and using tools such as SonarQube, and code quality scanning.
• Authentication/Authorization: 84 months of experience implementing authentication/authorization using Oauth, SAML and AD.
• Testing: 84 months of experience writing and automating tests with frameworks such as JUnit or Selenium, to enforce and troubleshooting failed tests, issues, and errors.
• Re-platforming Applications: 84 months experience implementing re-platforming applications from TomCat to Openshift.
