PPLIED is a hands-free hiring platform designed to simplify the job market for both recruiters and job seekers. Recruiters post a role once and receive a daily shortlist of top-matched candidates automatically, with no job boards, searches, or fees. Job seekers upload a resume once, and PPLIED continuously matches and applies to real roles on their behalf, eliminating manual applications and cover letters. The platform connects interested recruiters and candidates directly through messaging and is free to use for all parties. PPLIED focuses on solving hiring challenges efficiently and transparently through a single, technology-driven platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services that power PPLIED's hiring platform, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Develop and refine microservices using Java and the Spring Framework
  • Integrate with internal and external APIs
  • Contribute to architectural decisions
  • Write clean and testable code
  • Perform code reviews
  • Troubleshoot production issues
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver new features
  • Help improve development workflows
  • Ensure security and data integrity
  • Participate in continuous improvement of the platform's overall technical stack

Requirements

  • Strong skills in Software Development and Programming, with a focus on object-oriented design and clean coding practices
  • Proficiency in Java and experience using the Spring Framework to build robust backend services
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Microservices-based architectures
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, relational and/or NoSQL databases, and version control systems such as Git
  • Ability to write unit and integration tests, and work with CI/CD pipelines in a modern development environment
  • Comfort working in a remote, cross-functional team, with clear communication and collaborative problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Security best practices
