Java OMS Developer - Order Management System

About the role

A Senior Java Developer with extensive experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Order Management Systems (OMS) is sought. The ideal candidate must demonstrate hands-on expertise in order processing, inventory management, fulfillment, REST APIs, Kafka, SQL/NoSQL databases, and event-driven architecture. Experience integrating OMS with eCommerce platforms, payment, shipping, warehouse, and inventory systems is essential. Proficiency in AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Java applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• Implement and integrate OMS functionalities with various external systems such as eCommerce platforms, payment gateways, shipping providers, and inventory management systems.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between different components of the OMS system.
• Work with Kafka to manage and process large volumes of data efficiently.
• Utilize SQL and NoSQL databases to store and retrieve data effectively.
• Ensure compliance with event-driven architecture principles and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including planning, coding, testing, and deployment cycles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Java development, with at least 3 years specifically in OMS development.
• Proven track record of successful integration of OMS systems with various external platforms and systems.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and experience working with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
