Job Title: Java Lead (Contractor) Location: New York, NY (Onsite – 3 Days per Week) Candidate Requirement: Local to NY or NJ Duration: 12+ Month Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Java Backend Developer (Contractor) to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and maintaining scalable microservices using Spring Boot, and must have handled applications involving millions of transactions. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, suited for someone with a deep understanding of high-performance backend systems and team guidance. Required Skills 12–16 years of experience in Java backend development. Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and RESTful API design. Solid experience with Junit and test-driven development. Proven background in handling applications processing millions of transactions daily. Experience with caching, queuing, and database optimization techniques. Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and containerization tools (Docker/Kubernetes). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and lead teams.
