Java Fullstack Developer
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and modern frontend frameworks (Angular/React).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular/React.
- Build and support Microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven solutions using Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
- Lead architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and modernization of legacy applications.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Drive best practices around code quality, security, CI/CD, testing, and performance optimization.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across teams.
- Support cloud adoption, containerization, and DevOps initiatives.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and GenAI solutions to improve engineering productivity.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience.
- Strong expertise in: Java 11+/17, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, REST APIs and Web Services, Kafka, MQ, JMS, or event-streaming technologies.
- Experience with Angular, React, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of: OOP, SOLID Principles, Design Patterns, Multithreading, Concurrency, and Performance Tuning, Relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DB2).
- Hands-on experience with: Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, TeamCity, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or cloud-native application development.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Financial Services, Banking, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, or Payments experience.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications and monolithic platforms.
- Exposure to AI/GenAI technologies, GitHub Copilot, Agentic AI, or LLM integrations.
- Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, Datadog, or AppDynamics.
- Knowledge of security best practices, OAuth2, JWT, and vulnerability remediation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

Benefits
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $61087 - $104364. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
