Java Developer - Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain software systems and applications while guiding a high-performing development team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and document software systems and applications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis and design.
• Collaborate in design meetings, analyze user needs, and create technical specifications.
• Serve as a technical expert, evaluate new technologies, and ensure project documentation and planning.
• Manage project scope, minimize risks, and provide timely updates on user requirements and progress.
• Analyze code errors, revise programs, and contribute to team performance evaluations.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of Java development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Experience with user interface design and performance testing frameworks like Mocha and Jest.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and prior experience in Medicaid/Healthcare projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Excellent technical expertise and communication skills.
