Lead Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Lead application design including create and maintain application and network diagrams
• Ensure all solutions are compliant with best practices around application security, encryption, and data in flight
• Mentor team members
• Participate in code reviews
• Participate in planning for initiatives; tasks include design, estimates, breakdown of work, and identify dependencies
• Participation in Agile ceremonies
• Key contributor to roadmap planning and execution for owned applications and ensure these roadmaps align to the larger enterprise architecture
• Collaborate with other technical leads to identify dependencies
• Participate in development work
• Support resolution of production issues and create steps to prevent recurrence
• Oversight responsibility on resolution of vulnerabilities, compliance deficits
• Work with Change Management for code release, plan roll out, other teams and delivery team for production release, post release testing etc.
• Participate in on call rotation for production support

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise:
• Enterprise data architecture and pipeline design experience
• PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and data modeling
• Python and Java proficiency
• Serverless and event-driven architectures
• Advanced SQL and data transformation optimization experience
• API development, microservices, and REST architecture experience
• Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
• Git version control strategies and branching models experience
• Familiarity with Mulesoft and flex gateway
• Contract-first API development experience
• Advanced Spring boot and Spring batch hands-on experience
• Led architect and lead implementation of AWS-based solutions
• Able to establish technical standards and best practices
• Able to read code reviews focused on maintainability, security, and performance
• Foster culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
• Able to translate business requirements into technical solutions and roadmap
• Able to lead technical discovery sessions across multiple teams
• Balance technical debt, business value, and time-to-market in architectural decisions
• Service-oriented mindset with focus on measurable outcomes
• Strong communication skills bridging technical and business teams

Pay & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $160,000 or the hourly equivalent.
