Java Developer (Backend heavy)

Enterprise Finance Technology's Treasury Data Services team is looking for motivated new talent to contribute in the design, build, and delivery of a complex application supporting critical Data Management requirements—automated Data Quality Checks and Reconciliations—for Corporate Treasury.

About the role

This role ensures software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Responsibilities include coding solutions, writing unit tests, and integrating solutions into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. You will contribute to story refinement and defining requirements, guide the team in estimating work, and perform spikes or proof-of-concept efforts to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Additionally, you will utilize multiple architectural components (data, application, business) in design and development, assist in resolving technical complexities, and contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance).

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions and unit tests to meet defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to story refinement and defining requirements for the delivery lifecycle.
• Participate in estimating work necessary to realize a story or requirement.
• Perform spikes or proof-of-concept efforts to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Utilize multiple architectural components (data, application, business) in design and development.
• Assist the team in resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
• Contribute to existing test suites, including integration, regression, and performance testing.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Java development experience with Core Java, REST services, and Spring Boot.
• Experience working in Tomcat server, performance tuning, and Windows/Linux environments.
• RDBMS experience, including querying and PL/SQL in Oracle database platforms.
• Experience in object-oriented programming and Agile Development Methodology.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, and GIT/Bitbucket.
• Experience with Openshift, Kubernetes, and containers.
• Knowledge of web services and microservices.
• JavaScript programming experience preferred (Angular 2+, AngularJS, CSS, NodeJS).
• B.S. or M.S. in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Financial Industry domain experience.
• Experience with Selenium/Cucumber.

Pay

$58 - 68 per hour
