Java Developer
About the role
This is a hands-on development role focused on migrating applications and business processes from existing platforms to a strategic platform. The position involves designing, developing, testing, and supporting the migration while collaborating with multiple technology teams. This role offers exposure to large-scale transformation projects, modern technologies, and the opportunity to influence architecture and platform adoption across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support application and business process migrations.
- Collaborate with various technology teams to ensure a smooth transition to the new strategic platform.
- Engage in end-to-end application development using modern Java and related frameworks.
- Profile, optimize memory, and tune data-intensive, large-scale enterprise applications.
- Utilize strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities to deliver innovative solutions.
- Communicate status, risks, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical teams.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
- A minimum of seven years of experience in end-to-end application development.
- Core Java 11+ (including Multi-threading, Collections, and Functional Programming).
- Frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate.
- Database design concepts, SQL, query tuning, and optimization.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience with frontend UI technologies like HTML5, AngularJS, Backbone.js, and Bootstrap in an Agile environment.
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark and Hadoop, large-scale distributed ecosystems, and cloud computing architectures.
- A background in enterprise stress testing and risk management (credit, operational, and market).

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually.
Schedule
The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
