Java Application Developer
Summary
Front-End or Back-End Application Developer responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, documentation, and maintenance of new and enhanced software applications. This role involves developing solutions from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed standards and applying object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and modern development methodologies to deliver high-quality applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, create, integrate, and maintain new and amended software applications.
- Translate supplied specifications into functional and efficient application solutions.
- Perform application integration, performance testing, user testing, and documentation activities.
- Apply object-oriented design techniques and industry-standard design patterns in application development.
- Ensure development activities align with agreed technical standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to support successful application delivery.

Experience Requirements
- Experience in front-end or back-end application development.
- Demonstrated ability to design complex applications using object-oriented design techniques.
- Experience utilizing design patterns in software development.
- Experience working with application integration, testing, and documentation processes.
Required Skills: Java Track
- Superior core Java language knowledge.
- Experience utilizing XML in conjunction with Java applications.
- Understanding and experience in one or more Java server-side technologies, including: Web Services, Java Message Services (JMS), Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), Enterprise Java Beans (EJB), J2EE Containers, SQL
- Understanding and experience in one or more Java interface technologies, including: Java Server Pages (JSP), JSTL, Swing, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX
- Understanding and experience in one or more Java open-source frameworks, including: JUnit, Ant, Struts, Hibernate, Spring
- Experience with Java IDEs, including: Eclipse, IntelliJ
- Knowledge of J Monk.
Required Skills: .NET Track
- Superior knowledge of C# and .NET core libraries.
- Experience utilizing XML in conjunction with .NET applications.
- Understanding and experience in one or more .NET server-side technologies, including: Web Services, ADO.NET, SQL
- Understanding and experience in one or more .NET user interface technologies, including: ASP.NET, Windows Forms, Eventing, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, Microsoft Office Integration, Third-Party Widget Libraries
- Understanding and experience in open-source tools, including: NUnit, Nant
- Demonstrated ability to design complex applications using object-oriented design techniques.
- Understanding and practical application of software design patterns.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working across multiple application development technologies and frameworks.
- Experience supporting both front-end and back-end application development environments.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, application integration, and development best practices.
Pay
$58.00 - $61.00 /hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
