About the role
Japanese Bilingual Accounting Manager supporting financial operations for subsidiaries in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Review financial information and accounting transactions for accuracy
- Support financial reporting and consolidation for subsidiaries
- Perform variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and financial modeling
- Support income tax provision calculations, tax reconciliations, and tax-related projects
- Maintain accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial documentation in accordance with US GAAP
- Coordinate with subsidiaries, external accounting/tax firms, and internal finance teams
- Support external audits and technical accounting research
- Participate in BPR, system implementation, and finance process improvement initiatives
- Prepare management reports and presentations for senior leadership and HQ
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects
Requirements
- Strong US GAAP knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills and accounting/ERP system experience
- Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently and cross-functionally
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Business-level English; Japanese proficiency strongly preferred
Qualifications
- CPA/CMA (preferred)
- SAP or similar ERP/consolidation system experience (preferred)
- Budgeting/forecasting experience (preferred)
Pay
$130,000–$160,000/year (DOE)
