Janitorial Project Manager
An ABM Onsite Service Project Manager for the Sports & Entertainment Vertical Market is responsible for the operational and financial success of their project. This role leads a diverse team, engages in regular client interaction, and ensures quality services are provided at the site in alignment with contractual agreements and budgetary requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assess contract requirements and develop work plans to provide services in a timely, cost-effective manner; utilize knowledge of labor agreements to ensure that contract provisions are met.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with customers; meet with customers to conduct inspections, discuss special needs or changes in service, and plan for future customer needs.
- Provide customers with information regarding additional services available at ABM.
- Respond to customer inquiries; discuss and resolve pending complaints/feedback.
- Regular contact with customers to ensure services meet contract requirements and to promote customer retention.
- Inform management and leadership of work status; identify potential issues and recommend appropriate action.
- Participate in regular meetings and calls with other ABM management to review project-specific issues and develop recommendations.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy; independently plan activities to meet objectives; keep leadership informed of business issues impacting project effectiveness; promptly escalate serious issues to immediate management.
- Work closely with frontline personnel to meet customer requirements; determine training requirements and identify sources to meet training and development needs.
- Recommend staffing levels; work with management and HR to hire, train, and evaluate staff.
- Understand applicable union contracts and develop effective working relationships with local labor unions.
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with customers and represent ABM as the primary contact.
- Understand customer requirements and offer ABM services to meet their needs.
- Increase billable services provided by ABM and add value to the customer by providing additional or periodic services (TAG work).
- Monitor financial performance and identify steps required to ensure budgetary goals are met.
- Review budgets, costs, chargebacks, and inventory control to ensure labor and supplies are within budget.
- Report accidents and property damage in an accurate and timely manner.
Requirements

- Business savvy and financial accountability, including understanding of profit/loss statements.
Qualifications
- Understanding of the service industry practices, processes, and trends.
- Prior management or supervisor experience in the sports and/or entertainment fields.
- Solid accounting and business acumen.

Pay
$95,000 per year. The pay listed is the hourly/salary rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
