Janitorial Porter

About the role

The Porter position is available in a fast-paced, growing company that provides facility services across various industries. This role involves providing cleaning services, interacting with customers, and maintaining excellent customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent cleaning services, often requiring interaction with customers and prioritizing work based on customer needs.
• Work in high-volume and heavy traffic sites, or as an onsite individual crew member, ensuring daily customer interaction and fulfillment of related requests.
• Maintain excellent customer relations while executing daily janitorial duties.
• Show a broad knowledge of cleaning and janitorial processes and possess excellent customer service skills.
• Lead and provide solutions to various problems as directed by managers.

Requirements

• Able to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10-12 hours throughout the shift.
• Able to carry out detailed or written instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and chemical handling sheets.
• Effective communication skills with both internal and external customers.
